Smokehouse Barbecue - Kansas City, MO - Zona Rosa

Kansas City BBQ at its finest. This chain BBQ in swanky Zona Rosa provides all the old favorites in an upscale setting. The place features indoor seating and a large fully stocked bar. The place is rife with the smell of bbq - it just makes your mouth water walking in here. The wait staff were fantastic - i informed them I had family from Australia here and they needed to know good bbq. The waitress did not hesitate and we were off to the races. The ribs fell off the bone, the brisket melted in your mouth and the pulled pork was another level of wow entirely. The sides were also amazing but, really, after the meat everything else is just support. Highly recommend.

We love this place. Was a regular customer. Always nice to have something for everyone until recently. They have changed their fried chicken strips. Now our kids refuse to eat here. Bring back the chicken strips. We definitely don’t go out for BBQ because it’s healthy.

Ordered 2 rib and brisket combination plates with baked beans and supposedly white cheddar Mac n Cheese plus a burnt ends and Mac plate for wife.... As a owner/chef, I wouldn't allow these plates to leave kitchen on appearance, super sauced to hide reheating and age or meats. We left plates no complaining, paid and went to Buffalo Wild Wings across street to eat and go to hotel. Waitress was cool and the loaded nachos appetizer was OK. This was disappointing to say least traveling from south Mississippi. Pictured is how we left full plates...🥴😪🥴😪

The food was okay, the place was nice and the servers were very nice and helpful.

We went with a group of people, and enjoyed the buffet style portioning. I'm not sure if this is just for bigger parties, but we had the brisket and the pulled pork, along with beans and cheese corn I believe. I thought everything was delicious! The beans were my favorite! I had a few things of the brisket but I definitely would come back so I could order and try other food!
