Smokehouse Barbecue-Gladstone Mo

Stopped in here late 30 min before close and they were super accommodating. Ordered my food to go and it came out quick. I got the crispy sandwich (burnt ends) and my only gripe is that the burnt ends were basically shredded so any time I picked up the sandwich, it all wanted to fall out of the bun. Would prefer them to just be thrown on whole. Otherwise, absolutely fantastic sandwich. Great flavor, bun wasn’t soggy and the hot bbq sauce, exceptional. The Mac and cheese is really creamy and has great flavor and the baked beans are also really good. Thanks for a great meal and service, especially so close to closing time.

Pretty disappointed. My partner grew up in KC and used to love Smokehouse, so we were excited to try it again. We ordered brisket, pulled pork, pork burnt ends, bone-in chicken, and a bunch of sides (mac & cheese, cheesy corn, baked beans, fries). The sides were fine, not bad, but nothing stood out aside from the fries, they were good. The portions were laughably small. We actually giggled at the couple tablespoons of mac in a saucer. But sure “We understand that everyone has different expectations when it comes to portion sizes and pricing” yada yada. Brisket and pulled pork were a bit dry but passable. The chicken and burnt ends, though, were a real miss: bland, pale, no smoke flavor, no bark, and just... sad. They looked and tasted nothing like the menu photos or what we expected. Makes

Literally 3 pieces of feta and a few cranberries. This is not with $13. Maybe a $7 side salad but not $13. So disappointing. Edit: As you can see by the response they are justifying this. The feta you see in the photo is literally all of the feta in the whole salad. I understand that things settle but this is not settling. So please next time do better.

We showed up without realizing they were almost closed. Debra seated us and was very friendly & attentive. Outstanding service, fast and efficient along with delicious BBQ. My wife and I traveled here from Las Vegas and wanted to make sure we had some authentic BBQ from Kansas. This was the spot 🔥 Highly Recommend!! We had the sampler platter!
