Slim Chickens

This was a lot better than Caines and other "strip" places I've been. On its own, the chicken was good and the several sauces we tried were all great. The spicy BBQ was just spicy enough, the honey BBQ not too sweet, the garlic parmesan had a good tang. The fries were quite good. The toast was toast. Too bad I'm just passing through on the freeway, it'd be nice to have one of these local to me.

I freaking love this place man. Seriously the best fried chicken out there. All of their selections are good. The chicken fingers are large enough for the price (some chicken places can be VERY stingy on finger size) and are always juicy. Only negatives come from the drive though, and even then, I don't see how they could improve. But basically, if you are getting food inside and eat it there, everything is perfect. The toast is fresh and crunchy, the fries are some of the best in the industry, etc. but through the drive through, everything is so hot and fresh that by the time you get home the quality goes down from the steam in the boxs and bags. I've been meaning to try this place for a while. I'm kinda disappointed. The service was good. The employees were nice and got my food out quick. That's where the positives end. The fries were slightly warmer than room temp. The toast tasted funny, as if the garlic butter was sprayed on. The chicken didn't have much flavor of it's own, and it wasn't crispy at all -- felt more like grilled chicken than fried. The sauce saved it. The whole time I was thinking "I'd rather have Raising Cains right now."

If you love chicken strips this place is a win. The fries were okay. The toast was great! The lemonade was watery. I loved that they have 14 sauce options but you have to pay for each sauce so choose wisely. I chose ranch-it was good. I also got the honey mustard and it was just okay. Clean atmosphere and friendly service!

Slim Chickens is always a favorite for us when we go out. The food is always good and doest change. They have a wide variety of options to choose from. They have tenders, sandwiches, wraps, and salads. They have plenty of drink options, with standard coke products, teas and homemade lemonade. The restaurant is always clean and a good environment for all.
