Slate Hill Market Cafe

Stopped here on a roadtrip from MD to NY, and it was super worth it! I got a dirty chai, a chicken empanada, and some Mexican wedding cookies. The chai was made in house, so it was strong, gingery, and super delicious. The empanada was well spiced and moist, with a crispy pastry shell. The cookies were LEGIT. They were covered in powdered sugar, but they weren’t too sweet! They had the right texture too. The management and staff were the AMAZING. Super friendly. Genuinely some of the kindest people I’ve ever met while traveling- they made the trip even better. If you get the opportunity, stop here! You won’t regret it. :D❤️‼️

Slate Hill Market is an absolute gem! The food was outstanding—my breakfast burrito was perfectly made and packed with flavor. Every specialty drink we tried was delicious, and the pastries were fresh and amazing. What truly sets this place apart is the service. Javier, the owner, is incredible—his warm welcome and genuine hospitality made us feel right at home from the moment we walked in. Top-notch service and fantastic food all around. We will definitely be coming back!

Our new favorite place. The coffee, iced chai, and bakery items are delicious. We also love the tres leches! Tastes great with strawberry and mango. The owner is very welcoming and even has fun rides for the kids. Can’t wait to stop back in!
