Skyline Chili

I had wanted to try Skyline for years now. I finally got the chance while traveling for work. I stopped by for lunch. I was greeted and seated promptly. My waitress mustve been training as she had another waitress accompany her. I ordered a 4-way (with onions), a cheese coney, and a drink. They offered crackers while I waited for my meal. It didnt take long at all to be served my food. Coney dogs arent huge but I didnt care, they were reasonably priced and tasted good. The real star of the show was the 4-way. DELICIOUS! This is the famed dish of Cincinnati, and I loved it. The famed dish of my hometown, Rochester NY is the "Garbage Plate"...which is served with a meat hot sauce topping. I have been getting chili cheese sandwiches for years at various Skylines. Last night at Fairborn, I ordered 5 chili cheese sandwiches at the drive thru, then I drove home. When I opened the box at home, I couldn't believe it. Almost no chili, but tons of cheese. About 20 times more cheese than chili. I am not kidding. I couldn't eat it. So I just saved the cheese for something else. I will never go to that Skyline again.

These people need to work on being nice. I feel like there was a lot of tension going on for no reason the girl who helped me had an attitude. Plus they got my order wrong I was so over this place I didn't care to even try to get it fixed.

Great service and super friendly staff! The food tastes so much better fresh at the restaurant compared to taking it home — there’s just something about enjoying Skyline Chili right when it’s served hot. Definitely worth stopping in to eat!

Tried the bean and rice burrito option. It looked great, after all how your meal looks plays a part in the dining experience. This option would have been outstanding if they added more of the bean and rice filling in the burrito. What filling I did have tasted good, but was overpowered by the burrito tortilla, making it unbalanced. I will try this again at another location to see if the burrito has more filling.
