Skratch Kitchen

This is our new favorite restaurant in New Jersey. This is a place any diner would be lucky to have in their city. The chef here is at the top of his game. The staff here is lovely. Skratch kitchen is a gem of a restaurant. The chef served a seasonal jersey tomato salad with burrata that I'll dream about until next summer. The complimentary bread has to come from a great bakery because it was remarkable, too. They also served roasted potatoes that came with a side of crème fraîche or sour cream. I'd go back just for that side dish alone. But the moment that sealed the deal was the handmade pasta for the kids. The chef took the time to use the mantecare technique (emulsifying the sauce with cheese and butter) to finish it perfectly. This sounds silly but every parent that has ever ordere

The restaurant has a cozy, intimate atmosphere that makes dining feel warm and personal. The wait staff was professional, great menu with variety of choices, Italian flare, seafood and steaks. Talented chefs! Apps, meals and dessert absolutely delicious. On my top 5 personal restaurant list! Will definitely make a reservation to be back outside of vacation. And love that it’s BYOB!

That was insane hands down best experience I have had out to dinner in so long!! Every dish was poured and served with love! I can’t believe the owner even came out and personally said hello to make sure you are enjoying your food it blew my mind 10 out of 10 for me and can’t wait to go back

My husband brought me here tonight with our daughter and friends. This is hands down the BEST place I’ve ever eaten. Amazing food, amazing people. Everyone was so kind, it was just all around perfect. We will be back! Can’t wait to bring more family. You MUST go here. The caramelized figs were my absolute favorite and the stuffed rigatoni was the best dish of the night! Everything was fresh and delicious from the clams, to the cod, shrimp etc. so worth it

We had a large table for a retirement dinner and the staff were amazing! Olivia was our waitress and went above and beyond to not only make the toddler in the group happy but a special dessert at the end for the celebration. Everyone absolutely loved their meals and the appetizers. The pork loin special, stuffed rigatoni, and flatbread appetizer were all delicious. Definitely recommend!
