Skoogy's Deli & Ice Cream

Ehh is alright. Got Italian hoagie or sub whatever they call it. It's mediocre. Average price. If your hungry stop if you could wait I'd wait.

Best customer service here! The owner has literally re-opened his store on more than one occasion for me to just run in and buy cigarettes (I arrived after closing but he was still there). He's hooked my kid up with free candy before and all the cashiers that I've seen are all nice and quick. I highly suggest going to this Skoogys. It's got a small town vibe and makes you feel like an important customer. I'd rather support this store than a corporate place. They got everything from Deli food service..ice cream..tobacco and cigarettes..chips..candy.etc.

We had cheeseburgers and amazing waffle fries! This is our second visit because our Italian sub was so tasty last time we visited. But the waffle fries... they have seasoning so good, you don’t need to salt them. The staff at Skoogy’s are awesome cooks and very friendly. We will definitely be back! And we’re back! Almost weekly. Cheese burgers and waffle fries are fantastic. The owner and staff are really, really nice!

Never had any problems with anything I’ve gotten here before, but today’s Italian hoagie was not good. Roll was so hard I could hardly chew it and the lettuce was brown. Pasta salad was mushy and had an odd taste. Not a good day at Skoogy’s.

I lived in belvidere for most of my childhood and teens years, skoogies was always pretty solid. The breakfast sandwiches are kinda grim though now. The bacon wasn’t cooked just raw stringy fat pieces, it was nasty honestly. This is a breakfast sandwich it’s not hard, fry an egg, cook the bacon crispy, and throw it on a sandwich with cheese. Hope you guys get it figured out cause I’ve always been a fan of skoogies and the family. Take care 🙏🏼
