Skippers

I thought all the Skippers were closed. They are no longer in Idaho. So imagine my surprise when we came across this Skippers. It is especially meaningful to us because our first date approximately 43 years ago was at a Skippers. So yes, we ordered some of everything lol. It was great.

It reminds me of the time I went to Skippers as a kid when it was on the Strip, where China Buffet used to be, I remembered my dad taking my brother, and I when you used to have the all you can eat fish and chips. Keep in mind the fountain drinks don't come with the meal.

Kind of a shame that you get a cold out of the fridge bread bowl .. it's kinda hard to eat when it's rock hard: ( good chowder.. Convenient that you can get coffee or Italian sodas at the same time and the froyo looks like fun. Can I get my bread warmed up if I ask for it? Hmmm

Skippers in la grande is awesome. I can grab an iced coffee, froyo, and lunch all in one spot. The froyo is really good and has a variety of toppings. We enjoy going there for fish n chips, and clam shower. Our kiddos love the chicken strip baskets and they have generous portions.

It's been a couple years since I've eaten at Skippers. It was good and the staff was friendly. The fish isn't the same and it's definitely smaller, but it's still fun to visit Skippers, none the less
