Simkins Parlour

Passing through town on the way home from vacation, and this was a cute little spot! We were looking for something light and affordable, and this hit the spot. The ladies that helped us were super friendly and accommodating! We got a bagel sandwich, and two of their grilled cheeses (which came on Texas toast). My favorite was probably the green chicken enchilada and rice soup! The kids enjoyed “playing” chess while we waited for our food. My husband and I read signs around the room to learn this used to be the local grocery store. So fun little bit of town history!

Really nice stop in the heart of Downtown and definitely more than just coffee and ice cream. Their sandwiches and salad bar are amazing. Christa Moore one of the owners is very misinformed and refused service dog stating it has no vest, it has no id. ADA does not require service dog to wear a vest or provide fake id. There is no id provided by the ADA because the United States does not have a national service dog registry. Great little coffee shop, restaurant, and ice cream parlour. Stopped to charge EV in parking lot behind the building. Lots of sugar free syrup options. Cinnamon roll is amazing.

I absolutely love this place! The staff is super sweet! Food is actually amazing along with the shakes and ice cream. Such an inviting place. Definitely check it out

If you’re ever traveling through sterling, this place is worth the stop. The staff is very welcoming and provides excellent customer service. The food is made fresh and very reasonably priced. They have a salad bar, great selection of sandwiches and delicious ice cream. A local favorite.
