Shubert's Ice Cream & Candy

Hands down the best ice cream store in Chico. I love their ice creams, and I generally get a scoop or two after a good meal. Salty oak’s been my current favourite, with a tint of salt and chunks of chocolate, it’s a perfect blend for me. I’ve heard that their mint chocolate thins are delicious too, I’m not a big fan of that combo. But, everyone I’ve known, just love it. I’ve heard that their lemon custard ice cream and cookies n cream taste good too. Oh and don’t forget their root beer, heard that one’s… one of a kind! You’ll also find yourself surrounded by their collection of chocolates, stickers and souvenirs, apart from the ice creams. Go stop by if you’re in town!! Service was with a smile. My son absolutely loved his pistachio ice cream with a chocolate dipped waffles cone. We will definitely be back to visit this Chico staple.

This was a cute little ice cream/candy shop but not really anything special. It doesn't seem that candy is their focus, but there was a variety. The ice cream was a bit pricey. The shake, I thought, was expensive. The shake was just a few scoops of ice cream blended with milk. The flavor was mild and tasted watered down. I dare say I've gotten better shakes at a fast food restaurant.

Best ice cream ever. and I always go on Valentines Day to get the best chocolate in the area for my sweetie. It's off the main road but worth the search.

High quality with my favorites… Bittersweet Chocolate + Toasted Almond + Butter Pecan 😊 I made a fabulous Affogato with the chocolate. The chocolate candy counter was tempting with a nice selection.
