Shortfields Travelers Rest

We stopped here while we were visiting TR. It's a very cute restaurant with really good food! They have a lot of comfort foods. I got a cream of mushroom soup to start. It was the best cream of mushroom soup I've ever had! I honestly wouldn't have minded having a second bowl! I got the French dip sandwich as my entree. I've never had that type of sandwich before, but I thought it was very good! The au jus was VERY good! Our server was very sweet and attentive! If you're ever in Travelers Rest, I recommend stopping here for a nice early dinner!

The food here is great, and the menu selection is also quite good. I visited for brunch, and the photos attached were my group’s orders. The service was excellent, and there is some indoor and outdoor seating. A nice little place, although outside seating is a bit loud when cars are driving by.

We have been here twice now and the food and the service has been excellent. I highly recommend eating here. Very good.

We had such an enjoyable and relaxing lunch there today! We arrived at 11am, when they open. Our server, Alexis, was super friendly, attentive, and knowledgeable. We really liked the look of their burgers and patio seating so we ordered 2 burgers and mozzarella sticks outside. Firstly, I’ve never had such large and delicious mozzarella sticks in my life! We had marinara (which was unfortunately served cold) as well as an order of ranch to dip. Both sauces were excellent and tasted house-made, although we didn’t ask. We ordered the TR Jumbo Burger (Medium Well temp) and the Big Buffalo Burger (Medium temp). The flavors and temps for each burger were spot-on. Everything was delicious! We had the French onion soup, turkey sandwich, and grilled chicken sandwich. I added pimento cheese and jalapeños to the chicken sandwich and it was awesome; excellent pimento cheese! The sweet potato chips were crispy and perfectly salty. The service was great and the prices were extremely reasonable. I will definitely be back!
