Shokudo Ramen & Sushi Paramus

Not a great lunch. The apps were ok, the karaage is not Japanese style, but just standard fried chicken pieces and overcooked. This is also not Japanese ramen. The noodles are more like overcooked angel hair pasta rather than the chewy ramen that it should be. The tonkatsu broth also lacked real flavor. Service was friendly but really slow.

The Dragon Ball-Z and Naruto figurines set the ambience, along with the dark woods and low light. Food was nice- pork katsu was crispy and hot, but slightly dry. Sushi bento was decent but fish was not amazing (note to self: this is Hwy 17 in Jersey). Staff is friendly and price is reasonable.

Great food and an awesome vibe. The ramen was delicious, and the anime décor is amazing. The life-sized Vegeta from Dragon Ball Z is a standout and makes the experience even better. Definitely a spot worth visiting.

When I order online, it’s $14, but when I buy it directly from the restaurant, it’s $21. It’s really hard to understand, especially since the information is checked at the same time. Your food and flavors are very good, but I think there may be some issues with management or planning.
