What a great experience! Food had great flavor and seemed to be really great quality. Lots of great options. Some great cocktails. Service was really good. If you're going to the hibachi on a weekend, you'll want to make reservations. We sat in a different location, and when we were leaving there was quite the number of people waiting.

Dropped by Shogun in Rockford and left seriously impressed. The steak was seared to perfection—tender, juicy, and packed with flavor. The salmon sashimi? Silky smooth and fresh enough to make you double-check you're not sitting seaside. And the pork belly? Rich, melt-in-your-mouth goodness with just the right balance of crisp and fat. The vibe was relaxed but refined, and the dishes hit all the right notes. If you're craving a mix of Japanese elegance and hearty satisfaction, Shogun delivers.

No wait to sit at the sushi bar on a Saturday night and we got our food relatively quickly. Everything tasted fresh and well-prepared. Our two meals turned into 4 w some to-go boxes.

The Dinner for Two with a Geisha is my go-to and it never disappoints. Always a great experience, friendly staff, and consistently delicious food.

A generational tradition at this point, this is the restaurant I compare all others to. The golden shrimp is a local delicacy all my out of state relatives enjoy every time they visit our city. Service is always top notch, and the recent renovations to the entrance are exceptional.
