Shoa Restaurant

I tried the pasta with meat and it was really good! The meal came with some toasted bread which was also a great addition. There was a large menu selection and the online version had some pictures. There is free parking, but the spaces can be a bit narrow. I could see parking being tough if it gets crowded. Thankfully it wasn't very busy around lunch on a Sunday. The restaurant itself is very spacious and has a lot of seating area. Service was friendly and quick! I would definitely come back to try something different!

Very clean and spacious restaurant with an extensive bar area (compared to other Ethiopian restaurants I have frequented). The service was pleasant, although there was a mix up on our food being served to the wrong person (still within our party of 6), who devoured my meal before we realized what happened. The waitress was kind and patient with us as we had many questions about food items on the menu. The menu seemed limited compared to what I am used to, but I definitely could not complain about the taste of the food. Everything was savory and well seasoned; it was fragrant. My tongue, stomach, & nose we're doing happy dances because the food tasted/smelled sublime. First time eating Ethiopian food and it is different but good. Came here with my Ethiopian friend, she said it’s an authentic restaurant. The waitress’s greeted us with a smile and was super nice and not over attentive. Parking can be tight if you come when it’s crowded. Was a bit timid since I’m trying cuisine outside my “comfort zone”. But everything was fine and the other parties just keep to them selves and nobody stares at anyone. Really a chill nice date spot if you choose. Will like to visit again.

Shoa Restaurant (Bethelhem Market) is the best Ethiopian restaurant in the Atlanta area. From the very authentic Ethiopian cuisine to the excellent service, everything is par high standard. I always feel like I am eating a well cooked, home made Ethiopian food when I dine at Shoa restaurant. Kudos to the owner, Ato Aklilu, and all the staff!!

Amazing Ethiopian food! Definitely worth trying and you will not regret it. Tried the veggie combo and meat combo - they were delicious! Elsa was the server and she was amazing- very helpful and walked us through on what to get for someone first time trying the food here!
