Ships Inn

Bob the maître de is absolutely amazing!!! Melissa is an amazing waitress. The rest of the staff is truly attentive and phenomenal. Make a reservation and definitely go to ships Inn for dinner one night when you’re on Nantucket. Don’t forget to order the soufflé for dessert.

Enjoyed a wonderful experience at the Ships Inn for Labor Day weekend. The rooms are so sweet and comfortable. Dinner was absolutely delicious. We had the tuna special and filet mignon and halibut - all perfectly prepared. Breakfast in the morning was perfect. Best bartender on the island! We loved it!! Highly recommend.

Just went to have dinner. The gentleman host, who has been there for a long time, was exceptional! He accommodated us with a table and checked on us a few times throughout dinner. The waiter was very good and professional. Food was awesome...especially the dessert!

My review is for the restaurant last Saturday night. My husband loved the lobster bisque. My scallops were so overcooked, rubbery and almost inedible. No one ever asked how our appetizers were. Entrees were good. Husband had the swordfish and I had the halibut, very good. No one asked us how it was or if we needed anything. Dessert, we shared the chocolate souffle, amazing. We do recommend this restaurant but it needs some improvement. We noticed the man walking around talking to all the tables (Bob I think?), totally ignored us. Also, it was very hot and stuffy even though it was 65 degrees outside and windy. Very glad we didn't come here earlier in the week when it was almost 90 degrees.

We had a fantastic dinner at the Ships Inn in Nantucket. The atmosphere is cozy, historic, and full of charm. The staff was friendly and attentive from the moment we walked in. The food was outstanding. Everything was well-prepared. It’s clear that the team takes pride in what they do. We will definitely be back next time we’re on the island. A BIG thanks to Melissa our waitress. Highly recommend.
