Shipley Do-Nuts

Really good donut shop and convenient location. The breakfast sandwiches were really good and not greasy, which is a huge plus. They also have a deal for a breakfast sandwich and doughnut for four dollars. The staff was friendly but inadequate. Slow and the girl dropped donuts container on the floor and picked it up to use for our order. If they do that in front of guests than nervous to see what is in the back. She was also touching her headset (and hair) to turn on/off with her glove and then getting donuts.

As someone who grew up in a family-run donut shop before I was even old enough to legally work in one, I’m admittedly tough to impress when it comes to donuts. Shipley Do-Nuts, the Texas chain now popping up in Maryland, earns a respectable four stars — but that’s rare for me, since I generally only drop below five when something truly misses the mark. To be clear, nothing was bad. The donuts were fine, the service friendly, the place clean. But the flavor and texture just felt… hollow. The donuts had that overly processed sweetness and airy bite that leans more toward mass-production than craft. The coffee matched the same energy: drinkable, but forgettable. They’ve got an expanded menu, which is nice, but when your name is Do-Nuts, the donuts should be the soul of the place. It’s not

I’m really glad I missed my turn, used their lot to turn around (and found really good donuts at excellent prices). A very polite guy helped me immediately when I walked in. It was not busy at 1 pm. The place has plenty of parking and access is easy off and back on 175. Excellent variety and not your typical DD fixed flavors

As first time customers here, the employee was very patient with us as we made our decisions. The donuts were ok, but not our favorite. The kolaches were our reason for stopping. They were very filling and tasteful.

It’s my first time to try this place. It was Sunday afternoon and was quiet. The donuts tasted good. I love that they use walnuts instead of peanuts for the toppings. The guy Dominic who served us was patient and nice.
