Odenton Library - Anne Arundel County Public Library

This is a medium sized library, but I really enjoyed all the little things that make it more than a library. They have a leave a puzzle, take a puzzle and a leave a coat take a coat up front. They also take food donations. There's a "vending machine" with necessities like condoms and COVID treats. There's a nice kids section, as well as a large room for kids 11-17. Standards, such as computers, printers, study tables and rooms are available. They also have a crafting room with lots of large dry erase boards. To the 1 stars of reviews, get over yourself. If you avoid a library because of one rude person, go volunteer. Public work isn't all rainbows. I had no issues with staff and I realize we all have issues going on that nobody knows about. Went to get a library card for myself & two kids. It is a beautiful space to read, relax & learn. The Children’s area is a great place to get kids engaged with reading, learning & playing. The diverse children’s book selection was amazing! My kids are excited to come back!

This library is very spacious for the amount of space available and I was easily able to get a room reserved for me and a friend without much hassle in the upstairs part of the library. I highly recommend anyone in the area to stop by as it has sections for children and adults, and access to computers/internet if needed.

I like this library a lot because it is kid friendly, checking out books is easy with the county library app - you can scan the books with your phone camera, and they don’t charge for late fees unless the book is lost or you haven’t turned it in for a very long time. The library is very clean and well cared for by the community and staff. My one complaint is whoever is in charge of the children’s section book layout clearly has an agenda and seems to favor liberal books that kids don’t really need to be reading at these early developmental ages. If you guys can figure that out I’ll update my rating. If you are a parent that is concerned about the types of messages that liberals with small amounts of power, like organizing a kid’s book shelf, have then do beware of this warning.

While it looks larger than it is from the outside, this library has plenty of seating upstairs, good WiFi, and plenty of parking. It’s also nicely walled off from the main road so it’s pretty quiet even outside in the parking lot.
