Customer Reviews
Exploring Korean food options in the south part of Colorado Springs and found Shin Sa Dong. Stopped in during a weekend lunchtime. It was very busy, so that is a good sign. We chose the Bi Bim Bap bowls. I prefer the room temperature version, while my wife likes the Dolset version- or hot bowl. Both were presented very well along with many of the standard sides you would expect= KimChee, radish kimchee, fish cake..etc. We were able to ask for more servings as needed. The fried mandu was also very good. Seating area is fairly small, so maybe avoid rush hour meal times. Staff is very friendly and you can practice those few words of Korean language that you know. We will return for sure!
Came here after a long day driving. It was a pleasant experience with the service by the ladies running the place. Ordered kimchi pancake, it was a good serving. Yukgaejang Spicy Beef soup was heartily served with steaming bowl of rice. Perfect way to warm up. Our group ordered kimchi soup and a crackling bowl of bibimpap as well. Did not disappoint. Overall good experience.
The food here is amazing, its definitely more expensive, but it worth the quality and portions. The servers are also the kindest! I usually order enough for to go boxes, and the food can be intimidating to package, but they will help you do it which is so generous! The area is unfortunately a little sketchy, but once you go inside its a really nice and cozy place. Theres even a korean market and store next door. Would definitely recommend
I was brought here by a friend for the first time yesterday. We were greeted warmly and received excellent service throughout our meal. Banchan was portioned well and the fried dumplings were on point. The kimchi jjigae was served bubbling and flavorful, and my friend greatly enjoyed the spicy bulgogi. I took the kimchi jjigae home and it reheats well and tastes just as flavorful as it did in the restaurant! Lunch prices are very fair! I will be back. 💜
I wouldn’t recommend this place. I came by myself - asked for the Samgyeopsal which is a dish for two since I was craving it and still got attitude for refilling banchan. They charged me for an extra plate of lettuce. The pork belly was hard. All in all a miserable dining experience.
