Shibam Mix Grill (Mediterranean & Turkish)

Shibam Mix Grill in Yorktown is a great spot for Mediterranean and Turkish food. The mixed grill platter was flavorful and well-seasoned, with tender meats and generous portions. The rice and fresh-baked bread were especially good, and the garlic sauce added the perfect touch. The atmosphere is casual and welcoming, and the staff were friendly and attentive. Service was a bit slower during peak time, but the food was worth the wait. Overall, a solid choice if you’re craving authentic Mediterranean flavors in the Yorktown area. I’ll definitely be back to try more from the menu!

The lamb kebab was delicious and just the right proportions for lunch. Reasonable prices and a menu with lots of other stuff I'd like to try. The owner was friendly and attentive. Would definitely eat here again.

I really enjoyed my lunch here today. The hummus was the best I've had in years! The Adana kebab was tasty and the service was excellent.

I would love to give them a better review, but they have some things to work on. I’ve dined here three times now. The first time was probably the best, where I ordered the chicken shawarma, seen in pics here. It was great, but I wanted more rice, and more pita - they served a lot of chicken! Those aren’t very big problems though. We also ordered the zucchini pancake, which was AWESOME! And I wish I knew what was in there. But that may be where the good news ends. The second time, my family ordered takeout and got two orders of their mixed grill for two. There was plenty of food, but much of the meat was dry, and a little bland, and they didn’t give any hot sauce like I got at my first visit. I ordered the lamb steak and chicken combo, and everything on the plate was cooked to perfection. The meats were tender, juicy, and seasoned just like the real deal. If you’ve ever eaten overseas or just want a taste of something truly authentic, this place delivers.
