From the moment we arrived, Lexi, the house manager, was kind, attentive, and incredibly accommodating. We had a great stay at the Hornsby House Inn. It is a great location for exploring Yorktown, Williamsburg, and other places on the peninsula. The house itself is beautiful, a real mansion from the early 1930s. They serve delicious breakfasts and have a well -stocked bar. Our room was very comfortable. Tom and Lexi were great hosts; very friendly and helpful.

Tom was absolutely excellent and went above and beyond to help us throughout the entire weekend. The entire staff was incredibly kind, helpful, and understanding especially when we ran into a few hiccups. They handled everything with such professionalism and genuine care, which made the weekend feel stress-free and special. Our family rented the entire bed and breakfast for the weekend, and it was perfect. The rooms were clean, cozy, and comfortable, and everyone slept so well. It felt like a true home away from home. We spent 2 nights in very cold weather. We were warm, comfortable and well cared for at HHI. Tom was an excellent communicator and chef. He answered all our questions and prepared delicious breakfasts. Our room had a beautiful view of the monument and river. The bed and linens were comfortable. We enjoyed complimentary coffee & cookies throughout the weekend. One morning we sat the in the living room having coffee by the fire before our breakfast, and then later that evening hosted other friends in the sunroom to watch ACC basketball - just like home. The best part of our stay was meeting and enjoying the company of the other guests during breakfast and hearing from Mr. David Bowditch who grew up there. Weekend get-away with hubby and this place is FABULOUS... the INN is absolutely stunning. We really enjoyed talking with Tom about the house and area, he is very knowledgeable. Breakfast is sooooooo delicious, you're really treated like a top-notch guest. I have always said I would never stay at a bed and breakfast, but I have to admit, this really was nice and I'm so glad we did.
