Sherrer's Restaurant

Great food, great service, the place was very clean, did I say great service? Because it was great service. The restaurant has a mom-and-pop back home feel to it, the food is good and the prices are very reasonable. They haven't gone and skyjacked the price of the food on their menu like everybody else has, definitely would recommend.

First time back in almost 50 years! My parents when there a lot starting in college during the late 1940s. Same family ownership. I was told to go there on my visit for Durant’s best and least expensive burger. It was absolutely amazing! The hand made onion rings are the best ever.

There's a reason Sherrer's has been around for nearly 80 years. They have great, homemade food brought to you as soon as it's ready. The salsa, marinara and pies are all locally made and you can tell. You wanna bring it home? No problem! My only real complaint is the lack of atmosphere. Some more wall decorations would absolutely help. Maybe even a jukebox for the heck of it. Other than that, if you want good local food at a great price, look no further.

Very nostalgic feeling restaurant. Upon walking in, your hit with what I can only describe as an antique store smell. I ordered a sweet tea. I like really sweet tea, so it wasn’t my favorite, but the people that seem to come here likely would enjoy that it’s not McDonald’s level sweet. Next, I ordered a chicken friend steak with mash potatoes. Upon eating the potatoes, it felt like I was back home eating my mom’s mashed potatoes when I was younger. The chicken friend steak is also very similar in nature, that nostalgic look and tasted of home made. Overall this was a very comforting meal. Staff was attentive without being overbearing like most places are. I did notice the waitress look at me a little funny, but that’s to be expected with my appearance (usual people that come here seem old

Are there on Friday. Absolutely the best food in Durant. My husband got a cheeseburger and fries for $7.50!!!!!! The meat on the cheeseburger was huge!!!! They don't use frozen patties, they use real hamburger meat. I got a Club Sandwich, I can't remember the price of it...but it was cheap and big!!! This restaurant takes pride in the food the serve. The presentation of the food is superb!!!!!! This place has been family owned and operated since 1948. The owner is very friendly and knowledgeable about the Town. Our waitress Pam, never let our drinks get halfway empty and she had 6 other tables full of people eating. Definitely will be making this place a regular spot to eat.
