Wonderful coffee and such a warm, welcoming atmosphere. The coffee is excellent—rich, smooth, and clearly made with care. The staff are genuinely friendly and make you feel comfortable from the moment you walk in. I also love the cozy vibe and the local art on the walls—it gives the place real character and makes it feel like a neighborhood gem rather than just another café. Clean, relaxed, and thoughtfully run. A perfect spot to enjoy a great cup of coffee and unwind. Highly recommended ☕️ Thank you
Great Value, Great Breakfast, No Sticker Shock Shelter Bay Cafe is one of those rare Mill Valley spots where the food is good and the prices still make sense — especially for breakfast and coffee. The breakfast menu is the real standout. You can get: Egg, bacon & toast for $9 Eggs, bacon & hash browns for $11 English muffin breakfast sandwich for $8 Those are real, filling breakfasts at prices that feel almost nostalgic. Even the more dressed-up items stay reasonable — avocado toast at $14, breakfast sandwiches mostly in the $12–$15 range, and a solid breakfast burrito for $14. No “artisan surcharge,” no nonsense. The coffee is good and sensibly priced — refreshingly not one of those places where the coffee costs more than the food. Lunch keeps the same fair-value approach, with san
I’ve driven past this place 100s of times but never stopped. I was in the mood for a sandwich and this place popped into my head saw a finally decided to try it and I’m glad I did. They make a great turkey club sandwich and are nice people.
My favorite spot in the Bay Area for brunch and coffee! owners are super nice, and go the extra mile to make sure you have a great experience every time you walk in to their shop. In addition to the beautiful location, prices are convenient. They also offer healthy choices such as gluten free bread, and use quality ingredients. Highly recommend and will definitely be back !
These guys rock!! The sandwiches are delicious and made with love. The coffee is actually good and not pretentiously overpriced. The people are amazing and so nice. 5 stars no question.
