Shawarma and Things

First time checking out Shawarma & Things and I would totally give it a 10/10. Not only is everything beautiful but it was all made fresh to order. I got lamb shawarma, falafel, hummus, and some Turkish delights. They even gave me a complimentary hot tea that they recommended I enjoy with the falafel. Loved everything!!

This is honestly one of the best chicken shawarmas we’ve had in Hampton Roads. The wrap is super juicy, full of flavor, and perfectly pressed on the grill, which gives it that amazing texture. We’ve tried a lot of shawarmas around here — and even in the Middle East — and this one definitely ranks at the top for us. Their lamb sharwarma is also very good! The restaurant is spotless and the staff is genuinely friendly and welcoming. We used to grab their food from the food truck before, so we were really excited when we found out they opened a permanent spot here in Janaf Shopping Center. If you’re in Virginia Beach or Norfolk and craving real, authentic shawarma, this is the place. One small suggestion: it would be great to see ayran on the menu — it would pair perfectly with the shawarma

The ambiance is welcoming. Staff is friendly and helpful. I had the kofta wrap with fries and a mint lemonade. My friend got the kofta platter which had a small salad, pickled onions, pickled beets, rice and a pita bread. We also both got their homemade knafe (the mother of the store makes it so you know it's good!) as well as some other dessert that had chocolate inside a marshmallow texture with Pistachios on top. They looked like little Swiss rolls but I'm not sure what they were called. Also got their hot tea. Everything was amazing. So flavorful and filling. This was our first time having Palestinian food and will definitely come back again.

As soon as you walk in you are greated with a smile which honestly doesn't happen alot these days so already off to a great start. The gentleman who helped me went over everything in great detail and honestly made the whole interaction a delight. I felt that my business and even just my pressence was truly valued and I will be a repeat customer for sure! As you are waiting for your order you can watch the staff make all the food to order with *FRESH* ingredients. They don't skimp on quality and once you taste it you can surely tell. I can not stress enough how much of a treat this overall experience was and if you're looking for shawarma or Mediterranean food trust me & give them a try - you won't be disappointed.

Absolutely delicious and authentic shawarma! Probably the best chicken shawarma wrap I've ever had. Everyone here is super nice and I can't stop coming back for more food. I highly recommend the lamb shawarma, chicken shawarma, and falafel. They also have homemade kunafa on weekends which is amazing. Their baklava is delicious as well.
