Sedona Taphouse

Great overall experience here for the first time. Very busy on a Saturday evening 5:15 reservation! Parking is a bit of a hassle, and a very crowded entrance with limited organization. Serviced by Charlotte who was awesome, caring and knowledgeable. Every single order was correct and promptly delivered to our table with a smile and just the right amount of chitchat. Food was better than expected and really delicious, very well presented and because of the expansive menu, it was tough to choose which dish to try! Definitely worth returning to try a few more things.. drinks were delicious too, chocolate martini, dragon fruit cosmopolitan and a great lager on tap. Flourless chocolate cake polished it off!!

Overall, my family and I enjoyed our experience. The only drawback was the French onion soup, which lacked liquid, tasted bland, and the bruschettas weren’t very good either. The bread was soggy and didn’t seem fresh. We ordered the catch of the day, Mahi Mahi, and the crab stuffed shrimp, which were both good. The Sedona Martini is a must try, it was excellent. We will return again and explore more dishes from the menu.

Great place to grab a drink with some friends. Loved the vibe here. Drinks were great. Nice selection of local beers. Flatbreads was nice. Lovely ambience. Staff was kind and courteous. Bit slow but I didn’t mind the wait. Was busy. Parking in lot 2 or street parking is an option.

I had high expectations for my birthday meal i was being taken out to enjoy at Sedona. I ordered of the daily special menu, the rainbow trout with a mango salsa topping, sides of garlic mashed potatoes and grilled asparagus. I was completely dismayed and disappointed that the fish was cold - not warm, not tepid, not even room temperature, cold. It had been seasoned and presented as though it was freshly cooked, but it was not. It was cold. The seasoning itself tasted fine but the temperature and texture of the fish was awful. The mashed potatoes were tepid, the asparagus was thick and unflavorful. I had to put on a happy face and not complain because my dinner was a treat. The server was nice but didn't wait for an answer to the question How is everything. Happy face was difficult to maint

Update: after our less than ideal experience at STHPHX the manager Jeff responded and reached out and set to make good of a bad experience. After some private communication Jeff welcomed us back tonight. We were greeted and treated with kindness and joy and seated promptly. We were given a wonderful waitress named Lexi and were greatly taken care of by all staff. It was a very busy Friday night but our food came out within a reasonable time frame especially our appetizer. We tried the special app crab artichoke dip and it was delicious! Truly obsessed. My husband got the Southwest salad off the regular menu and was loving it. He ate the entire thing and said he wants to come back and get it again!
