Scutari Italian Restaurant

We were a table of 8 meeting for our monthly “sibling dinner”. We were seated in a private area set off from the dining room. It was still part of the restaurant but felt private. To say we enjoyed every aspect of this restaurant is an understatement. The hostess welcomed us with a warm smile, our waiter Marc was fantastic and warm…always showed up at just the right time. They were so attentive to my food allergy and gave great suggestions on what would be safe for me. Every one of us thought our meals were excellent. We had Chicken Piccata, Cod and Lobster Risotto (special), Veal Parm, Chianti Short Rib, Duck and finally, Puff Pastry with Strawberries for desert. I HIGHLY recommend Scutari if you’re looking for a nice, welcoming delicious dinner.

I ordered the fresh pappardelle bolognese and I’m still thinking about it days later. The pasta was perfectly cooked and the sauce was deep, rich, and comforting. The service was incredibly polished and attentive from start to finish. For the quality and portion size, the price point is more than fair. Scutari is doing Italian food right.

This turned out to be a grave disappointment. My wife and I were so excited to try this place after getting pizza takeout. We liked everything up until the entrees. My Lobster Ravioli was doused in sauce and was hard to actually find the ravioli, meanwhile, my wifes chicken Milanese was extremely sweet to the point where it was unbearable and couldn’t eat. The lobster tail they put on top of my dish was like chewing rubber, I finally had to spit it out. A bad night? Perhaps. We were both just extremely let down after being so excited to try this place out, you know, you go out and spend $200 and you expect everything to be great from start to finish and for anything otherwise was just a deflating feeling. Met friends here for a long overdue dinner and it was the perfect setting to catch up. The staff was always nearby when we needed something and never rushed us out. Everything we ordered was delicious and the shareable portion sizes made the experience even better. Chicken parm was one of the best and the sauce tasted homemade and fresh. Their crab cakes and mussels were super good as well. You truly get a lot for your money here. We will be back

Delicious homemade pasta meals - bolognaise was magnificent. Wine options are great. Gelato is so creamy and yummy
