Scratch Ice Cream

Had some lunch at Archies next door (they share the same dining areas). Decided on a small cup of ice cream for dessert (you're probably wondering how we had room after have an Archie Burger :). Scratch is connected to the Archies, and you can walk between them. The place has the same vintage decor. It's bright and cheerful. They either have hand packed ice cream from a case of 16 flavors, or you can get some portioned items in a case. They might also include some items from "The Bake Shop" across the street. Ended up getting a couple of flavors, the coffee brownie with chocolate fudge. A great combination. And a nice treat after our burger lunch. Don't know if I would come just for the ice cream. Overall I would rate the ice cream good, but not great.

Why did it take me so long to try this place??? I'm a custard girl, i know this. But WOW this place makes SUPERB ice cream!!! The Door County Cherry was fabulous and so was the Salted Caramel Waffle Cone!! I will definitely be back soon! Becher Street in West Allis strikes again 🏆🏆🏆🏆🏆

One of my favorite places to stop and grab a scoop! They have a lot of cool flavors and you can get them any way you want, dish, cone, pint. It's just another cool spot in the area that makes you want to hang in the area all day!

Scratch Ice Cream is nextdoor to Archie's Flat Top, which serves different types/styles of beer & even gluten free beer, along with hard seltzers, ciders, mixers, soda & juices. The food served consists of three different styles of burgers, a veggie burger & a smoked cheddarwurst sausage sandwich. All choices sound delicious, but I was here for the ice cream. Ice cream was great! It's creamy & made from scratch. The best thing is they give samples before you really choose what to buy. It's not cheap, but one taste & you'll feel the need to indulge. The amount served is ok for the price. Also, each ice cream flavor in the case is printed on the glass with a list of allergens underneath the name. Very helpful for those with allergies. They also pints ready to go.

Our kids love scratch ice cream! Such unique flavors.
