Decided to try breakfast here since it’s been open for a while. Food was okay, pancakes were dry, hashbrowns were greasy, omelette was okay, French toast was okay with syrup, tacos were good. Flavors weren’t strong in any meal. Prices are high for breakfast. Caramel iced coffees were too sweet and they didn’t finish drinking them. Service is average and food took awhile to come out after ordering. Fruit was fresh. Not sure if they offer kids meals as we just ordered off the menus given to us.
Ate a late breakfast on a Wednesday and was overall pleased! The menu had a lot of variety: typical pancakes and omelettes, but also unique items like shrimp & grits and breakfast burritos. There were a number of gluten free items which were clearly marked. I also appreciated that you could get a “mini” version of some items for $1.50 less. The “mini” omelette was more than sufficient. My only complaint was that we were seated at table for 2 that felt uncomfortably close to those next to us. The restaurant itself is spacious. My husband’s only complaint was that the breakfast burrito wasn’t spicy enough. Overall, a nice edition to SoMD food. Also, I love that it opens bright and early at 6:30am so working folks can have a nice breakfast before work.
I did a pickup order, so maybe I would've had a different experience if we had sat in the restaurant, but overall it wasn't great. I ordered the veggie omelet and only received one out of the two sides (I chose the potatoes and the grits, didn't receive the grits). The omelet was gross. The veggies weren't cooked all the way, so I ended up with half crunchy onions, and there wasn't a single drop of seasoning. I ordered it without cheese, so I wasn't expecting it to be super creamy or anything, but it was so dry. The veggies needed cooked more, while the eggs needed cooked way less, or at least on a much lower heat. I choked down half of it, but couldn't stand to eat any more after that. The potatoes were well seasoned and tasted great though, too bad I couldn't try the grits. Online they
The salted caramel and banana waffle!!! OMG🥰 Fam we were heading back from getting supplies for my urban farm and plant nursery and saw this spot…my husband and I looked at each other and said, “what’s that? lol…when did this pop up”…it was a bright, freshly built building and it had such a “sunny” presence. It almost reminded me of the old Tastee Diner we used to go to for breakfast in Silver Spring back in the day, except modernized. I didn’t even step foot inside yet, but I just had a good feeling that I was going to like this place. There was a short wait, it was packed, but the staff was jumping. (Mostly young people by the way AND I was totally impressed by their professionalism). Orders were coming out, people were stuffing their faces and keeping it moving. There was even a bar wh
