Scotty's Whole Hog is like a monthly holiday - a special occasion with great people when you eat SO well. Scotty, the owner, is dedicated, passionate, and patient as only a true pit master can be. He's also friendly and welcoming - you can tell he has a great reputation for food and customer service with the loyal following that leads to great turnouts any time anywhere. The offerings rotate with a wide range of creative barbecue offerings and fun sides. Brisket? Check. Brisket burger? Check. Chopped brisket sandwich? Check. Whole hog? Check. Pulled pork sandwich? Check. Racks of ribs? Check. Turkey? Check. Cornbread? Check. Hush puppies? Check. Mac and Cheese? Check. I could go on, but you get the idea. This is what community and food are about - no corner-cutting in quality or service.

Scotty’s Whole menu is outstanding. My wife and I enjoyed everything we have purchased. His ribs are unbelievable! The rub is simple outstanding. The ribs are always perfectly cooked. Whole Hog is outstanding. Then there is his sweet red sauce. Not your typical sweet thick BBQ sauce. This stuff is crazy good. My wife and I are planning meals around all of Scotty’s Whole Hog events! If you liked smoked meat. This is the place. I didn't even mention the brisket or the turkey! All unbelievably good. Go out of your way for this meal. You will end up like my wife and I! Chip

We love Scotty's Whole Hog Barbecue! Our favorite thing to do is order in advance, so we do an early walkup to get our food on days he's serving. We have yet to try something from the menu that we haven't loved. The lean brisket. ribs, and hushpuppies were the crowd favorites, but truly, EVERTHING was delicious.

If you have an evening to head to Northfield for some of Scotty’s Barbecue it’s well worth it! Brisket and collard greens are personal favorites here. Dessert is also a real treat. Fun, family-friendly atmosphere with plenty of space to enjoy a casual outdoor meal.

Had a great lunch at Scotty's on a beautiful Saturday afternoon. Meat was freshly smoked and delicious and the grass area with tables was perfect for my niece and nephew to play in. The banana pudding is a must-have
