Scottwood Bed & Breakfast

We stayed with Tim and Annette for just one night while visiting horse country in beautiful Kentucky. Owing to a technical glitch we arrived at the property before they knew we had booked. Nevertheless, they were unflustered and immediately set about making us feel at home. |The main property is a lovely historic house, tastefully furnished. We stayed in the cottage, a separate building overlooking the garden. Again, it was comfortable and tastefully furnished with additional privacy.|Breakfast was delicious and afterwards we enjoyed talking to our hosts about our different countries (we are from England). Tim also provided us with some tips for local places of interest, which was very helpful.|If you enjoy traditional hospitality in a historic setting you will love this place.|Thanks Tim

If you want a quiet retreat to get away from it all, with fabulous hosts and delicious breakfasts, book a room (or better yet the carriage house) when you’re near Versailles or Lexington KY. Centrally located and only 10-15 mins from either place, amid rolling farmland and horse farms, with a creek running through the property, this is a wonderful place to stay. We rented the carriage house, it has a four poster queen bed, deck with French doors and a patio set/BBQ overlooking the creek. There is a loft up a very steep flight of stairs with a twin bed. The only downside is the lack of a mini fridge for cold drinks and the bathroom door doesn’t lock. Breakfast in the main house is home cooked, delicious and filling. The hosts, Tim & Annette were so gracious and so lovely to talk too! As

We were blessed to stay at Scottwood B&B just after the reopening from COVID-19 shutdown. Guidelines for safety were being followed well. Annette and Tim are very gracious hosts. Annette goes out of her way to accommodate breakfast requests and her breakfasts are delicious! The English garden setting is secluded and charming. The carriage house was very comfortable, clean, and quiet. We would definitely come back.

A few weeks ago we were on the hunt for bourbons. We selected the Scottswood Inn for its location minimizing our drive times to various cities/distilleries. Four minutes from downtown Midway, it seemed perfect. We found that the innkeepers, Annette and Tim, were very accommodating. They are the best hosts we have encountered. For most of the mornings we got up early and they had a fantastic breakfast planned. Several mornings the joined us for breakfast inthe dining room. They were very engaging and we found their histories very interesting. This made our stay of five days more personal. We found the town of Midway fascinating. Good food and very casual. One of our most memorable trips.

Our four night stay in the Carriage House at the Scottwood Bed & Breakfast was beyond our expectations! The owners, Tim and Annette, are welcoming, gracious and a delight! They truly do treat you like family! They went out of their way to ensure we felt cared for and we appreciated their warmth and friendly conversations in addition to the true southern hospitality.
