Scherpies Produce & Deli

This is a nice little sandwich and soup carryout spot in Saint Bernard on Ross avenue on the way to or from the Norwood lateral. They make terrific, affordable boar's Head sandwiches for you and also have nice Ham salad, egg salad, chicken salad, and tuna salad as well as other pasta carryout choices. They have a different soup everyday. They do not have an eat-in facility. You just carry it out. It's very fast. It's also a good quick place to pick up some sliced Boar's Head deli meats without having to wait in line at a grocery store.

Best chicken salad in the city. Very tasty deli. New owners have all the family recipes.

A customer told me to check this place out. I got enough food to share with a coworker. Chicken salad sandwich on croissant Salami and cream cheese rolls Small helping of watermelon The sandwich had enough chicken salad on it for 4 sandwiches and it had zero taste. I ate 1/4 of it and threw the rest away. The salami rolls, the ends were turning brown and dried out. I heard a customer at the counter asking if the watermelon was sweet, the worker said “very”, but when I tried it, it too had zero taste. I’m sure this place was a great spot back in the day, just not so much anymore. I definitely won’t be going back. Just to add, I rarely leave reviews even if places weren’t good, but this place was a complete waste all the way around.

I bought me a sandwich. They gave me more meat and meat and no vegetables. It’s like as if they’re saving for another sandwich.
