It was a challenge getting a reservation in the same week of my bestie’s birthday, but eventually we did. When you pull up they have valet for $16/$17 or metered parking. They have outside dining and inside dining which is where you want to be. I noticed there were a lot of girls eating here and just a couple of date nights. Our waiter was Quentin from France. He was very nice and recommended some different items, but it may be best to choose your own. Typically, when you have a vibe and atmosphere as cool as Scarlett, it tends to lack on the food- but the food was just as good as the atmosphere. We had the tuna tartare with truffle Ponzo and avocado with a Zaatar lavash. It was so delicious and a very, very big portion which we were so excited about. Our favorite of the night was the meatballs with polenta. You absolutely cannot skip this! We feel like meatballs are served with some sort of bread typically, but Scarlett does it with Polenta, and the polenta was so creamy and delicious, we scraped the bowl We couldn’t stop talking about it all night. My husband and I had a 7:00pm reservation and the evening started off effortlessly we found metered street parking right next to the restaurant, which in West Hollywood already feels like a small miracle. The hostess was polite, not overly warm, but efficient. Our waiter, however, elevated the experience. He was confident in his recommendations, attentive without hovering, and clearly knew the menu. We started with the Tuna Tartare chives, avocado, ponzu, truffle, lavash ($26). He recommended it over the yellowtail and he was right. So worth the wait — Scarlett is here and it’s stunning. The restaurant has finally opened and it’s absolutely beautiful. The space is thoughtfully done: cozy tables, a bar, fireplace, leopard pool table, private room, a patio, and even a piano in the middle for live performers. It’s a lot atmosphere-wise, but when it’s this well executed, it deserves to be mentioned. Since it was opening weekend, we were welcomed with a glass of champagne, which set the tone right away. The menu is extensive with seafood, flatbreads, pasta, and meat—so many good options. We started with a few dishes: yellowtail (the seasoning was absolutely delicious), calamari, and burrata with homemade pesto (so good). First time going, everyone was so kind and helpful when it came to the service. My party and I ordered a bunch of stuff to try. Definitely get the meatballs and chicken parm. Wasn’t the biggest fan of the pasta very al dente but good flavor. Must get the pear martini perfect cocktail. Excellent atmosphere with piano player, dancers and leopard pool table. Perfect place for a date or a night out with friends!
