A Quality little local retail seafood fish and clams shop in a small retail complex with good reasonable prices and a large inflatable lobster on to. We bought the fresh Maine Steamer clams which were larger than most places, stored cold and alive and fresh. They had local cod and the very rare Atlantic Maine Halibut! A place that is supporting local fisherman. The shop is small, clean, simple and rustic. Just 3 minutes from Old Main Street in Old Saybrook or just 5 minutes off of Route 9 and I-95. It is the perfect place to bring home that saltwater fish for a broiled cod with corn on the cob, grilled swordfish with lemon, or fresh clams for linguini Summer family meal. Easy parking in front for 10 cars. Enjoy.

Absolutely the best fish market around! The seafood here is consistently top quality — always fresh, always delicious, and sourced right from Rhode Island waters. You can truly taste the difference. Whether I’m picking up scallops, swordfish, or cod, everything is impeccably fresh and handled with care. The homemade stuffed clams and shrimp are delicious. The staff are fantastic — friendly, helpful, and incredibly knowledgeable. They’re happy to answer questions, offer cooking tips, and even help you select the perfect piece based on what you’re craving. It’s clear they take pride in what they do. This is the kind of place you look forward to visiting. A true gem for seafood lovers! Highly recommend.

I am a first-time customer, but Saybrook Seafood just became my first choice for quality seafood. The owner, Robin is very knowledgeable about all her products and she was extremely helpful in making sure that I bought only what I needed and not more than necessary for the number of guests. She could have easily let me buy as much as I thought I needed, but thanks to her putting my satisfaction above her total sale, she saved me a considerable amount of money! Thanks, Robin! Oh, did I mention the quality of EVERYTHING I bought was fantastic? The cocktail shrimp were stunningly tasty and the smoked salmon was among the best I have ever had (and I've had a lot).
