Customer Reviews
I read the reviews and saw some issues, but decided to try it anyway. We met some friends there that arrived before us. They waited about 20 minutes to get drinks. Not acceptable. There was only about 15 or so people in the restaurant. We were seated in a booth, which was very small. All of the booths are small, really only for 2 people, not 4. There are tables though. The ambiance was nice and cozy. Once we ordered, I thought it took longer than usual to get our food. I did not note how long though. The food was okay. The Chicken Marsala looked good, but shouldn't it have a brown sauce, not white? A small bed or noodles with it would have been nice too. I gave it an 8 out of 10. The steak was cooked correctly, but flavor was lacking and it was slightly tough. I gave it a 5 out of 10 for t
The atmosphere is cool, and it’s clear they’re going for a more upscale vibe. However, it felt more like the restaurant was pretending to be upscale rather than actually delivering an upscale experience—especially given the price point. The service was good and attentive, and the drinks were solid. My husband enjoyed the garlic bread. We were told the kitchen was very short-staffed, and while the food took a bit longer to come out, that wasn’t an issue for us. Unfortunately, the food itself didn’t match the pricing. I ordered the linguine with clams, which was extremely dry and nearly flavorless—there was no sauce at all, just a small amount of garlic and herbs. I couldn’t eat it, so my husband switched plates with me. He had ordered the chicken marsala, which he thought was just okay and
Very new Italian restaurant which took over the Boyd's place. Very friendly staff with a knowledgeable chef. The chef Paul Stearman is also involved at the Bistro 112 restaurant in Shepherdstown. Cozy romantic atmosphere with a bar that has history dating back to Al Capone being an owner. Being very new the bar is not fully stocked and the wine list is very limited. While speaking to the chef he mentioned that the wine list will be expanded very soon. The menu will expand as well so there's an expectation of fresh pasta being on the menu at some point as well. So far everything is very good and it sounds like great things are planned down the road. When at the bar, Marie will take very good care of you. She's great to talk to as well. We'll definitely be back in a few weeks to che
If you’re looking to step out of the modern rush and into a pocket of history, check out Saretto in Martinsburg. It’s the kind of place that feels like a well-kept secret, offering an experience that is as much about the ambiance as it is about the menu. The restaurant leans heavily into a 1920s–1930s aesthetic, with decor that feels authentically vintage. The menu features excellent Italian food that hits the sweet spot on traditional comfort. Drinks hit the spot as well, I opted for the Old Fashioned, and it was perfectly balanced, not overly sweet or to over powering.
Stretto offers an amazing dining experience with exceptional service and food that’s to die for!! Authentic Italian food with a variety of pastas! I recommend this place to all my friends and family when they’re looking for a fancy vibe and great dining experience. The owners are very welcoming and nice!
