Afghan Flavors

This new Afghan restaurant is opening at The Garage and they've had some popups and buffet nights already. We've been able to try most of their dishes at the buffet and we did stop in on another night to have a falafel. All the food is tasty and delicious. The service is great as it's not the standard at the garage. The buffet has real plates and silverware along with table service if you'd like to try something not offered in the buffet. You can also order drinks at the bar of the Garage too. The owners and servers are all so friendly and polite. I'm looking forward to when they are there full time. Went today with my brother and had an absolutely excellent meal. All of the food was amazing and the care for us was incredible. I loved the depth of the flavors and the saffron ice cream was a highlight after a filling meal. The price is a bit sharp but when the quality is this high it's certainly justified.

Afghan Flavors operates in The Garage on King. They use the show kitchen a few days a week - I believe they might take a permenant spot soon. We stopped once before for a falafal sandwhich and it was excellant! Tonight was a buffet so we were able to taste many delicious items! The chef and team are very warm, inviting and friendly. They genuinely welcome you and want you to enjoy their food! The food in general is comforting, hearty, and aromatic (not spicy-hot) Rich spices are in the different dishes like cardamom, cumin, and coriander rather than heat. We will be back!!!! Afghan Flavors is absolutely amazing! The food tastes fresh, authentic, and full of rich traditional spices. The kabobs were perfectly cooked, tender, and juicy, and the rice was flavorful and delicious. The mantu and bolani were some of the best I’ve ever had! The restaurant is clean, the atmosphere is warm and welcoming, and the staff are very friendly and respectful. You can really feel the hospitality from the moment you walk in. The portions are generous, and the prices are very reasonable for the quality you get. If you’re looking for real Afghan food with incredible taste and great service, Afghan Flavors is the place to go. I will definitely come back again and recommend it to everyone! 🙌
