Santo Cantina & Cocina

My wife and I chose this place at random for dinner one night and it was great. We’re both latino, and grew up in a very hispanic neighborhood, so we’ve been really missing things like REALLY good mexican food since moving here. This place was a great find, we were very happy with everything we ordered and the staff was very friendly. I had the shrimp fajitas, she had tacos, both were really delicious. Additionally, the patio seating was great for people watching lol, so we had a really good time being chismosos about everyone who walked past 😂 We will definitely be back soon!

Yesterday was my second visit here and it was probably the same time lunch time. The food is enjoyable I will go back for the food again but it will only be pick up. The staff is very engaging and nice. The music yesterday was very intense it was like I was at acid house Latin music concert. It just killed the vibe the music was very racy I had asked two times if they would cut the music down and eventually I didn't enjoy myself and left. I will definitely order food but I will not dine in

We came here one day becuase the place we wanted to go to was randomly closed. It was okay. There are not a ton of great Mexican restaurants in this immediate area. I think the menu and style offers something different than the average Mexican or Tex Mex in Decatur/Avondale Estates. We were honestly, pleasantly surprised. To be honest, the cheese dip, salsa, and margarita were good, but not great. The cheese dip was a little cold, and instead of jalapenos, it had some red spice on it. The beans and rice were bland, but I don't care so much about beans and rice. When they are amazing, I will let you know, because most Mexican restaurants do not have good rice and beans. What a delightful little joint! The atmosphere is casual, lively, and fun — the kind of place that instantly feels welcoming. The bar looks abundant and well-stocked, inviting you to linger over a margarita or two. I had the red snapper a la Veracruz, and my husband had the steak fajitas. These dishes are near the top of the price range for the place, but the quality and presentation were absolutely worthy of a higher-end restaurant. Both were excellent — beautifully cooked, great flavors, attractive, and good portions. The menu itself is particularly intriguing — diverse, creative, and full of dishes that make you want to come back again and again. We really like this place. Great menu. Good prices on food and drinks for the Atlanta area. Usually have drink specials. The food comes out quickly and tastes great. We had enchiladas and they were good. Nice covered outdoor patio area when it’s warm enough. Sometimes they have a band too.
