Sam’s Southern Eatery Havelock

Our first time trying this restaurant. The food was so good and everything was seasoned well and very flavorful. The staff was so welcoming and friendly. The owner offered us a sample of the seafood gumbo, the flavor was amazing. Our family really enjoyed our experience here. A must try in havelock !

Walked in not knowing what to get and the owner (?) recommended the fish and shrimp so sold! Hubs is a mushroom Swiss burger lover so that is what he ordered. (Even got another to go) Got onion rings to start. Very friendly staff and service top notch. Even was offered a sample of gumbo which I am a picky eater and pleasantly surprised it was so good. Will be back.

Tried for lunch today and everything was really good. I had a hamburger and fries and my son had chicken strips and fries. We also had a side of fried pickles. Our food came out pretty quickly. Was told they will be on door dash so that’s perfect for those that like to order delivery. Will definitely be back to try other items.

Very nice place with great food and excellent service. My daughter was crying because she was hungry, and they were kind enough to bring out one of my sides early to satisfy her while we waited for the rest of the food. That really meant a lot to me. The prices were very reasonable for the quality and portion sizes—we even have leftovers for lunch tomorrow! Definitely give this place a try ASAP. Here’s a pic of my leftovers of crab cakes , chicken tenders, shrimp, fish and mozzarella stick. Highly suggest their shrimp, tenders and mozzarella sticks and my husband loved his crab cakes and fish.

I came here bc I like trying different. I was not disappointed. Im not a "fish" eater but the fish was delicious. Crunchy on the outside soft on the inside. I tried the Gumbo comes with an expected fantastic roll!!!! The serving size was a meal by itself!!!!! I ordered a salad thinking nice appetizer....it was huge!!! another meal by itself. Yes I left with some food but that didnt bother me!! I had the shrimp, chicken,and fish combo.
