Absolutely love their home cooked food! ❤️ It's not a commonly known place, yet I try to turn others onto their food & give them more business cause it's absolutely amazing soul food if you've never tried it! 🍽️💖 About 10 minutes across the bridge from the Indiana side of the river, in Louisville KY off of Broadway St, definitely something you'll love if you get the chance to try them!

Chicken: fantastic highly recommend Attempted robbery: unexpected side quest. Overall: 5 stars because the food was THAT good. 10/10 would get jacked again for these tenders (Side note watch out for the guy who comes at you from behind the building i don't think he just wants to "see your wallet")

Absolutely delicious soul food with so many different things to choose from absolutely amazing home cooked sides and I literally watch the meat slide off the bone on the barbecue rib tips in the bone was so soft I was starting to eat it too LOL.

I’ve given this location multiple chances because it’s close to my house, but I’ve been disappointed more than once. The chicken is usually decent — good flavor and very crispy — but everything else has been hit or miss. The potato wedges were hard and inedible, the okra was soggy and bland, and the side portions are extremely small for the price. After several letdowns, I probably won’t be back. It’s just not worth the money anymore.

It was our first time stopping at Sam's. We were driving back to Chicago and let Me tellllll youuuuu we were definitely starving. The place is adorable IMO, reminded me a small mom and pop place where everyone in the neighborhood definitely stops by at least once a week. It's no big fancy restaurant it is a neighborhood hidden GEM. The lady taking orders was the absolute sweetest and kindest restaurant employee I've ever had the pleasure to meet. Love that it's set up cafeteria style you can literally see what you're ordering. The macaroni and cheese was phenomenal especially the collard greens, the fried apples, the pecan pie, the peach cobbler was absolutely delicious!!! The wings were fire too, we just needed more hot sauce, the Jack Salmon was an ENORMOUS serving definitely could feed
