Salty's Island Bar & Grille

Salty's provided such a great dining experience! We went for dinner on a cooler night and sat on the first floor- the restaurant is open air to the front, but the weather is a non-issue, because of their heaters throughout. There was live music that was very enjoyable (and I'm usually not a live music gal, but this guy was crushing it!). We were one of the closest tables to the music and could still have regular conversation without feeling the atmosphere was too loud. We ordered the brussels sprouts as an appetizer- phenomenal. I ordered the blackened grouper sandwich as an entire, and my husband ordered a special halibut entree- both were out of this world- fresh, seasoned well, excellent! Hannah was a great server, very friendly and attentive! The food is off the chain (very very good).I had the Fish-n-Chips with coleslaw and a side of coconut rice. You get two big Haddock filets, fat seasoned french guess and tropical coleslaw (has pineapple in it). Everything was so good!! My only complaint is that I wanted one of their blue hoodies and that was a bit too pricey for me at $50, otherwise this place is perfection!

Best calamari I’ve ever had. Juicy, fresh, crunchy, and the mix of sweet and salty sauces is perfect. Brussel sprouts are amazing. Filet was solid. I’m from mass, visited Clearwater in November. My experience at Saltys was so good that I couldn’t wait to come back. I’m here now in February, and the calamari is just as good. I was worried they couldn’t live up to the first experience but they were solid again. 10/10

Great food and friendly service. Grouper po boy and shrimp tacos were good as well as kids' dishes. Pina colada was tasty. Nice open air atmosphere. Would go back.

We found this place on a reel so wanted to try it out on our trip. What sold us was The toasted pina colada. Unfortunately it was just okay. Nothing spectacular. Really lacked flavor. I had the grouper tacos which unfortunately the grouper tasted like dirt. There was a group of 10 of us so there was plenty of other food I could try and eat. The Cajun pasta was delicious. The ladies that had crab legs all said they were good. The steak also lacked flavor. The coconut rice was also really good. But the place was a vibe. The music was loud. Our waitress was wonderful. We would probably try it again
