Salimar Ceviche Bar

We had such a beautiful experience at Salimar Restaurant. We ordered the tiradito carrilero, risotto meloso, and the passion fruit cheesecake, and every single plate was absolutely delicious. You can truly feel that each dish is prepared with care and served with love. The prices are very reasonable for the quality, the area is easily accessible, and the service was outstanding. The gentleman who attended us was incredibly kind and experienced, you can tell he genuinely knows hospitality. Highly recommend! And don’t skip the soft drinks, the chicha morada is a must.

It was the discovery of the month! Upon arrival, we were warmly welcomed by the staff, everyone was very friendly. The place is extremely clean, even the kitchen. The décor is themed and very beautiful, a great spot for celebrating a special occasion or for a date. The service was not only friendly but also quick—we didn’t wait even 5 minutes for our food. The dishes were well-portioned and served hot. We ordered a Huancaina risotto with lomo saltado and a pesto pasta with lomo saltado and shrimp. Both were very flavorful. We also had a passion fruit pisco and, I think, a mojito, both were delicious, but the pisco was incredible! And the dessert, well, it was amazing! What a delicious cake! This establishment elicited mixed emotions from me. The food was remarkable, and the atmosphere was impressive. Nevertheless, the service, which began well, became problematic during the payment process. With a bill totaling over $500 for 14 individuals, the manager on duty, who also served our table, declined to split the bill, instructing each person to calculate their portion and contribute accordingly. I am disappointed by this approach. Given our experience, I would advise against recommending this location for large groups. Meanwhile, a sizable line of patrons formed, watching and listening to the unfolding situation, as the manager/server focused more on greeting new guests than addressing the pressing issue.

The ceviche was delicious! The service was stellar! The environment was beautiful. They have a full menu. However, I am a firm believer that ordering what is in the name of the restaurant is the smartest thing to do. You wouldn't order sushi at Juice Bar. Well, I should say that I wouldn't. It should be noted that I was not alone and everyone else had delicious meals as well. No matter what you order here, you will be over-joyed!

We came for dinner, and we loved it!! Nico was our waiter and he was great at guiding us through the menu, we ended up ordering a couple of things and sharing. The restaurant is super cute, it feels intimate and cozy. We will definitely be back!
