Best breakfast we have in Salem or North Shore!!! The pistachio bread French toast and Dominican Benedict are so delicious!!! It’s one of the kind!!! Also the cinnamon espresso coffee smell and taste so good with free refill(can’t find that elsewhere!) My spiced rum hot cider hits the warmth in a snowy day!!!
It's nearly unbelievable to find a place to eat on a beautiful Saturday in October near Salem. If you don't mind, the 10-minute walk, cross the bridge away from the main town and stop at Salem's retreat. I was there midday, and had a great brunch sitting at the bar. Service was excellent despite the absolute madhouse of people, they move things quickly without making you feel rushed. Food was very good, but I was particularly delighted that they had a side of fried plantains, which you just don't find everywhere, made a great complement to breakfast.
Everything was incredible could not ask for a better brunch experience. From the food to the drinks, portions were perfect, and food was delicious with great options. Our server Baker made the experience all the more enjoyable and will recommend to everyone to check out!!
Salem's Retreat was an absolutely amazing experience. We went here for breakfast two days in a row. Everything is all made fresh. I had the pastrami hash Benedict which was all made fresh. I also had the home fries with it and they were perfectly seasoned and crispy. I also had a side of crispy bacon. The second day I went I had the corned beef Irish Benedict. And a side of sausage links. My daughter had the Oreo waffle both days that we went and she absolutely loved it. My niece had a ham egg and cheese on the bagel and a order of home fries. It was very tasty and filling. She also had the following day the French toast with cinnamon and bananas., With an order of hash brown patties. I would highly recommend Salem's retreat. They have amazing food great prices and fast service. And if yo
Tried it for the first time last weekend. Got the make-your-own omelette. I forgot to take a picture. It was really good. You can have your home fries mixed with onions, which i did. They were the best that I ever had. A few days later I ordered eggs Benedict via food delivery. And those were delicious as well.
