Customer Reviews
all i can say is this place is absolutely mind blowing. the food was amazing, portion sizes are excellent. our waitress was amazing and we kept small talk the whole time. she was very attendant as well. the wait was only around 30 minutes to initially get in. the food took around 15 minutes, which is not bad at all for how busy salem gets in october. the decorations and vibe of the place are amazing, there's detail every you look and it was very clean. the food is all locally sourced as well! pricing varies, but you can split a huge sandwhich for ~$20 ($4 split fee). 100% recommend though!
Crispy chicken sandwiches are all the rage these days. Nashville this, hot honey that. You haven’t had a chicken sandwich like this. The Swiss cheese melted onto the perfectly toasted bread is a delight tough to put into words. The aioli is the perfect complement to the nicely fried cutlet. If you’re anywhere around Salem, you must try this sandwich. I’m very glad I did!
Honestly, one of the best restaurants in the country right now. I’ve eaten all over, from the West Coast to the East Coast, from the South to the North. In fact, I just got back from Vegas after three days of entertaining clients at some of the city’s best restaurants, and I didn’t enjoy any of those meals as much as the one I had at Maitland Farm Kitchen and Spirits. It was just good. Really, really good. The atmosphere is relaxed, the staff hustles, and while it takes a bit of time to get your food, it’s worth every minute. The combination of great food, genuine service, and an easygoing vibe made it one of the most memorable dining experiences I’ve had in a long time. The setting doesn’t hurt either, right on Main Street in Salem, Massachusetts, just a stone’s throw from the ocean. Do
Do yourself a favor. Walk a little further down from all the commercial restaurants and go to Maitland. The food is so amazing. Just make sure to have a reservation because it is not a big place. Originally we were going to get a beer and share the Hangar Steak. It was sooooo good, that we then ordered the Octopus. We were in Greece before and could not find great Octopus. This is great Octopus!!
Everything about this place amazing including drinks. The food and ingredients were so fresh and cooked to perfection. I had the chicken sandwich and barata salad. I also had a bite of the ribeye French dip 10/10. The staff is friendly, attentive and welcoming. I can’t wait to go back and try everything else on the menu.
