Thank you Salem Public Library for being the best on the North Shore! Thanks to your hard work, my kids not only have a warm and beautiful place to play on Sunday afternoons when every other library is closed, but they are able to truly explore the world. Thanks to your generous and well organized selection of Spanish and bilingual children's literature, my kids are becoming bilingual and biliterate even though our whole family for the past 3 generations were raised monolingual. Your library is an incredible gift to us.

I loved this store! We were advised to go in and take a selfie with the giant pumpkin. But I was able to wander around in here for about 30 minutes and see just some fun stuff. I ended up purchasing some cute souvenirs to take home. This store is totally worth stopping in!

wonderful children’s area but one of the children’s librarians is not. she is very rude to kids and talks to people with attitude, then loudly talks about patrons after they have left. she is not a good fit for a children’s librarian.

Definitely not ok with a man wearing a dress in the children's area, who works there.

Lovely library!! I was in Salem for a day trip and needed to take an online exam, and it was the perfect place for a quick study session. The area nearby is nice, the library is big and quiet, the WiFi is fast, and the staff is incredible. Just make sure to check the hours before you go. If I lived in Salem, I'd be visiting this place every day, it's great!
