Saladang Thai Sushi

Lemme tell you....somehow the heavens and stars aligned last night for us to experience an unexpected, amazing meal at Saladang Thai Kitchen. We had a craving for sushi. We get to sushi place of choice. CLOSED on Mondays. So I did a search to see if the semi-new Saladang's (which was right around the corner) serves sushi. YEP! So we head over. We get seated and greeted by super sweet Whitney. Then we find out that they don't serve sushi on Mondays. JUST OUR LUCK! So we decide that we're already there so we'll just find something else on the menu. OUR WHOLE FAMILY WAS SO GLAD IT WORKED OUT THE WAY IT DID. FATE STEPPED IN! Our FAVORITE restaurant in Sanford! The food is amazing and Whitney (our server) is phenomenal. Some of the very best sushi I've ever had and the massaman curry is outstanding!!!! YUM!!! We've been several times and will continue to frequently return.

I had the coconut curry and wife had the green curry. Recommend both options. Spring rolls are served with two types of sauce and a nice light starter. Restaurant is cozy and there were many families there on a Saturday afternoon enjoying lunch.

Our first visit to this delightful spot was nothing short of magical! The food truly surpassed our expectations, and we adored every dish we tried. A special mention goes to the chicken satay as our appetizer and the Tom Yum soup, which were absolute standouts. What made the experience even more wonderful were the lovely owners, who were so kind and enthusiastic. I have never had Thai food, and I decided to go on a whim today by myself. I walked into the restaurant at 11:30 on Saturday morning, and was not entirely surprised to see that no one was there. The staff greeted me eagerly, and I explained I had never had Thai food before but was excited to try something new. Ty, my server, was so happy to walk me through options and provide opinions when I asked him.
