I visited around noon time. The place is clean and nicely decorated. The owners are very nice. I ordered the pepper steak that came with collard greens, candied yams, and rice in peas. The food was seasoned good, the pepper steak was tender. The yams and collards were like my grandma made.I typically go for the stew chicken when I feel for Jamaican food. The pepper steak was really good. I will return for sure and try the other menus items now they are under new owners.
I had no complaints! Food wasn’t over priced, Neither was it bland. I’m not a fan of high sodium diets so this place was perfect for us. My boys ate down the food in less than two ❤️🤣 I will be ordering jerk pork on door dash 🥳happy customer
I stumbled across an article in The Day about Saint Bess Jerk Hub yesterday and my husband and I made dinner plans immediately! I'm always looking out for new restaurants in the area but somehow I missed Saint Bess's. My husband got the jerk chicken and mac n cheese, I got the oxtail plate with collard greens and we both got a beef pattie...yum! Seriously, I could eat a plate of just the collard greens, they were amazing. I tried my husband's chicken and I thought it had great texture, and he really loved the mac n cheese. The gentleman that helped us (owner I think?) asked if we wanted medium, and at the time I thought he was talking portion size. After we got home we realized he might have been talking about heat level. If they add heat, we'll be doing that next time. They also sell th
The first time I went there the food was delicious. The most recent time it was the complete opposite. I got a medium a stew chicken which was flavorless, the rice was hard and also flavorless. Then my mom got a medium oxtail. The menu said it $16. There was a sign showing prices are different than the menu but when I got my receipt I noticed a $22 charge. When I called they stated they believe that price is right. Like you either know it’s right or you don’t. He stated the prices changes which I understand. But a price increase should be reasonable. $16 to $18 seems reasonable. $16 to $22 seems very unreasonable especially when you get 2 oxtails. Overall very disappointed in not only The food but the prices. I spent $60 for a medium stew chicken, medium oxtails, 2 patties and 2 drinks. Ta
This is a takeout review. All food is eaten promptly in the vehicle. I tried the chicken stew and the Jerk Pork. Both were very tasty with plenty of food on each medium sized meal. The mac n Cheese side was also quite good. An excellent food experience. On a scale from 0-10 I would rate this 9.3.
