Saffron Mediterranean Kitchen

Absolutely delightful experience experience. Service was outstanding, food was VERY authentic and clearly crafted with care. The decor is tasteful and stylish and yes, it has ambiance. The only thing that MIGHT detract for some (it was perfect for me) was portion size. For some it may be a problem, especially if you’re a big eater. Again perfect for me (and very traditional Mediterranean) but others may complain. Will go back again and again!

Saffron Mediterranean Kitchen is one of our favorite restaurants. My wife and I dine here frequently, and I can genuinely say we have enjoyed every single meal. The quality and flavors are consistently superb, as well as the great cocktails. Our experience last night was no exception. The service was wonderful; our server was perfectly attentive without being intrusive. The food was divine, as always. We started with the Buñuelos des Pescado (halibut fritters), which were incredible. For my entree, the Méchoui Chicken was perfectly prepared, with a taste that was delightfully and authentically Mediterranean. I highly recommend Saffron for authentic, high-quality Mediterranean food matched with excellent service. We already look forward to our next visit!

Saffron is a gift to us all with a few shortcomings. The oysters were surprisingly fresh for the region. The beef cheek appetizer with royal trumpet mushrooms was incredible. The PAELLA VALENCIANA was just mediocre with unfinished rice. The chicken was beautifully prepared, but we left the uncooked rice. The Gifford Hirlinger bordeaux blend was basic and overpriced. The people here are holding this place together. I just think it's time for some QA to ensure they continue to serve us well.

Saffron has and always will be one of our absolute favorite experiences. The food is in a stratosphere of its own. Equally delicious and innovative. Our most recent experience was for their Breakfast for Dinner menu. Dishes were stellar and service was top tier. If you are visiting Walla Walla this is a must-see.

I've had the pleasure of eating at Saffron twice in the past week, once for dinner and once for their special lunch Pho Pop-Up menu. For the dinner, I tried appetizers, salad, main dishes, and desserts, and had the chance to try a lot of different items within these categories due to eating with a large group of friends and sharing what we all ordered. Everything was delicious, and I have specific praise for the flatbreads and handmade spaghettini noodles. This is the only restaurant I know of in our region that makes true handmade noodles, and the quality is so much better than that of typical packaged noodles.
