Saffron Mediterranean Grill

Amazing little place right in downtown Long Beach. Service was excellent and fast. Food was incredible. Their hummus is some of the best I’ve ever had. Highly recommend if you are near the convention center!

The food was absolutely delicious. I have many dietary restrictions and eat for my genetics so I had a salad and the lentil soup. I wanted to try the cauliflower but it was not available. Beautifully served. The salad plate look like a work of art. The lentil soup was one of the best I have ever had. I would just say. Please, please, please. Hair nets. Hair nets. Hair nets. The was a strand of hair on the smaller white plates near the checkout counter and somehow a strand of hair turned up on the side of the lentil soup bowl. It was not in my soup but partly on the inside side half hang out. Must have been the lady that came to clean the table after a guest left. So maybe it fell in with her passing. Please have all ladies with long hair wear hairnets. The food is way tooooo good for this

I love Mediterranean food, so I always look for a spot wherever I travel — and Saffron did not disappoint. I ordered the Kasteleta, and the lamb chops were tender, juicy, and not fatty at all. The portions were generous and very satisfying. My husband had the beef kebab, which was also amazing. Our lunch for two, with two refreshers, came to $60, which felt very fair for the quality. Definitely coming back!

Food is very good. I would definitely go back for their falafels! So yummy, so fresh, crispy on the outside and soft on the inside. We ordered the Falafel side and the Mediterranean Plate. The prices are very reasonable for the amount of good food.

August 2025 Finally got to check out Saffron's Gyro & Kebab Wraps. I am often skeptical because the wrap can be too thick and gets soggy, etc. But I am happy to report that these wraps were delicious and probably the best I've ever had. My friend got the Gyro which has similar meat to the Kebab that I got but it's thin slices of meat. I prefer the Kebab which is thicker like a sausage. The hummus, lettuce, pickles inside were great. The secret sauce was delicious. The wrap thin and did not get soggy. Check out my pics! I opted for the salad but my friend got the fries and I knew I would grab a few. Their fries are so GREAT. Hot, crisp and good size. If you're starving - definitely get the fries. They'll put you over the top. Service great as usual and again, I love the real gl
