Sabor Mazatlan

We arrived at Sabor Mazatlan right at 12:00 PM — clearly lunchtime — expecting to order from the lunch menu. Instead, we were told we had to order from the dinner menu only. That was frustrating and unexpected. The dinner pricing felt extremely high for a basic Mexican restaurant. Soft drinks were $4 each, and our total for a simple lunch came to over $120 before tip. For midday dining, that felt excessive. Our food also came out in spurts rather than together. I ordered the Burrito Buzo and my wife had the Carne Asada. The food itself was average at best — not bad, but definitely not worth the prices charged. Service started off attentive but dropped off completely after our meals were delivered. My first time coming to colorado and we were craving seafood so we came here because we saw it had good reviews but when we got there the experencie was not as good. The food was okay but we didnt really like the service and We understand if sometimes the restuarant its busy but it wasnt. We also saw one guy who works there not sure if he’s bartender but he was drinking with a specific table not sure if they were family but he was working.

Great food, with incredible seafood options, and at 7500 ft above sea level!😄 I know modern transportation really has reduced the size of the world, but there are so many dishes with fresh seafood and they look fantastic. I very traditional Mexican, and had Rojas Enchiladas that were great with shredded beef, but people around me were all seafood! I gotta come back! Portions were fantastic as were the prices.

They have the best lemonade, not too sweet and you can order it with carbonated water.

Great spot if you’re looking for Mexican food. Their portions are huge! I got their Mole Chicken and Shrimp Fajitas. Not pictured here, but the chips and salsa were delicious too. Shrimp Fajitas came out sizzling, as expected with fajita plates. Seasoned excellently. Comes with a side of rice, beans, and corn tortillas (flour tortillas available if that’s your preference). Made for perfect shrimp tacos. Mole Chicken was a bit sweeter than I’m used to compared to other Mole I’ve had, but still delicious.
