S & S Produce & Crabhouse

Good food good service! We are not the most experienced with crabs as we are used to the comfort of crab cakes, but the crabs at S & S were delicious and of quality! Service was efficient and present. Food seemed fresh and we truly enjoyed the seasoning. Crabs were good. Shrimp was outstanding and slushy was as good as it gets. Interior was a bit worn down but well maintained and authentic. We went on off hours and no wonder we were the only ones dining in but take out seemed more popular. Prices were fair and reasonable. Will be back!

Living in PA coming from Maryland, it is pretty tough to find crabs close to home. I tried S&S produce and crab house. I saw the reviews. I ordered ahead which I wanted the large/X-Large females for $59. I was advised that they only had large female which I agreed to ordering and pick up at 330. Got there and my order was ready and crabs were hot. I did not open them to look to see what they looked like. I get home and I have small female/ medium crabs. Being someone who eats crabs weekly I am pretty good at sizing my crabs. The flavor isn’t too bad but have had better. Suggestion if you do get crabs from here please look before you leave. I won’t say it’ll be my last time but I will be mindful next time.

Bought 1# pre-cooked (cold) shrimp for New Year's Eve. It was awful! The shrimp were overcooked and rubbery, the shell was stuck to them. REDEMPTION! I took the owner up on his offer to try again. Despite a little confusion about the order being steamed, what we received was 1 day old pre-cooked shrimp. These were very good; sweet, tender, and tasty. No complaints. They have a great variety of foods. I will go back again, soon.

I’ve been eating crabs since the early 80’s (about $60 a bushel) I ordered a dozen large males, they were the biggest meatiest best tasting Crabs I’ve ever had!!! I won’t go anywhere else in York County for Crabs!!!
