Red Lion Bed & Breakfast

The B&B was absolutely lovely, very clean, and welcoming. The inn keeper, George, was a bright spot in our day spent at the inn. We were unfortunately in the area for a funeral but his warm and welcoming kindness helped my sister and I more than I can say. Definitely recommend staying here if you are in the area!

Found this gem on hotels.com for a weekend trip for wedding we were attending. George the owner is very friendly and accommodating. We arrived past check in time but he remained available and greeted us - offering us anything we needed. Exhausted after an 8hr drive, the hospitality, extremely clean and quiet atmosphere allowed is to sleep like babies. Unfortunately we were spent both days so we didn’t get up in time to experience the breakfast but waking up every morning to bacon and eggs wafting through up through our room felt like home. I’m grateful for the option to pick a room with a private bathroom for a small upgrade. There’s even onsite parking. I would absolutely stay here again & recommend to anyone!

My husband and I stayed at the Red Lion Bed & Breakfast for two nights, joining my cousin and her husband from Pittsburgh for this long-planned weekend excursion to a local festival. The Red Lion B & B was the perfect setting to catch up and relax. Every detail was pitch-perfect, including the immaculate rooms, fluffy terry-cloth robes for our use, the lovingly restored historical home, and the delicious breakfasts that accommodated our vegetarian diet. The grounds are lovely and blooming, and there are a few pretty chickens in their area with night-time coops to keep them safe. Free parking is available on a corner of the property. George, our host, was so helpful in every way, including assisting us with directions to the interesting center of Lancaster and recommendations for lunch.

Our host George was incredibly courteous and kind. As we booked our trip last minute and were only spending the night, we did not expect or require accommodation for our dietary restrictions, but he went above and beyond to provide a breakfast, and I'm incredibly grateful for that. Our room was clean, extremely comfortable, and an incredible value. The B&B is situated conveniently in Red Lion, with some restaurants and attractions very close. York proper is only 20 minutes away, as well as plenty of other attractions and activities only 20 minutes away or less. The B&B also provides a small library and excellently curated selection of board games, more than justifying an afternoon or evening spent in relaxing at the B&B itself. My friend and I stayed here last weekend and were quite happy with the accommodations. We had nice weather so we were able to enjoy a small water feature, fire pit, and picnic tables set up in the yard. Food was located within miles and was very tasty and reasonably priced.
