Rump & Roll Delicatessen

We came for the Italian beefs. This is a really good Italian beef, similar to Al's or Johnnies beefs. The meat alone has a very nice flavor, the sweet and hot peppers really adds to the flavor, the gravy just pulls it all together giving it a delicious taste. I will suggest to request your bun not to be sliced into, as since their meat is shredded it kinda just falls out every where. Request a fork, to scoop it out of your gravy boat. The sandwich is a bit pricy for the size, its 18 bucks. I wish it was more in the $10 dollar range, because i would definitely be seen at the shop more often. Atmosphere one star, booth seats uncomfortable, tables needed cleaned, not just wiped off, but actually cleaned with a soapy cloth. Employees were great, brought out food out to the table. Wow, what a gem! Love this new deli in the Dayton neighborhood just over the river from Cinci. Visited Rump & Roll on a Saturday around lunch. There was a healthy line but the R&R team keeps everything moving quickly. We ordered a Reuben and a Hot Italian, both were fantastic and piled high with the freshest deli meats. The soups of the day - Broccoli Cheese and Split Pea - were super flavorful and hearty. We also had the house-seasoned chips and the carrot cake, both were incredible. Can't wait to go back and work our way through the menu. This is exactly the kind of deli we’ve been looking for: delicious sandwiches, great sides, impeccable desserts. The Rump and Roll is a five-star establishment all around. Their food is stupendous and delicious in every way. The item I purchased was the hot and spicy Italian beef sandwich, after having been graciously offered a sample by the proprietor. The staff was friendly and quick to offer samples. Another sample we were offered, the goetta, was so good that we returned later that day to purchase a pound to take home.

Best delicatessen I’ve ever been to. Amazing sandwiches and exceptionally friendly staff. I’ll definitely be back and bring friends.

Good value for price. My reuben was superb. The smoky potato chips are great. My wife's roasted turkey was stacked high and tasty.
